Read at Book Karaoke!
June's themes: Half Measures + Things Left Undone
First, we at SCRAWL want to thank all of you who turned out and made our first Book Karaoke a stunning success! We laughed, we cried, we cheered. Our readers spanned a wide spectrum of ages and life experiences. Ancora Vino was cozy and accommodating and we can’t wait to do it again in June (24th, 6-8 pm)! If you’re interested in reading on the (very widely interpreted) themes: Half measures/Things Left Undone, please SIGN UP HERE. We ask all readers to keep their reads to under 7 minutes and to leave out offensive or insensitive content (if you’re not sure what qualifies, email Jordan: jordanwritelife (@) gmail (.) com.

Take Our Survey! What Book- and Writing-Related Events Would You Like To See Locally?
We are cooking up all kinds of great fun to come. Please take our survey to let us know what you’d like to participate in!
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with a storytelling workshop at the Morgan Hill Library.
History isn’t only comprised of major milestones of country and state—it’s forged from the powerful individual stories of our own lives, which are worthy of sharing. Join local writer and teacher, Jordan Rosenfeld, for a workshop that offers storytelling tools to identify, explore and share a personal or ancestral story in writing. You do not need to consider yourself a writer to attend, though do come prepared to write.
BookSmart has two locations: Vineyard Town Center, in Morgan Hill, and the Eastridge Center mall in San Jose. BookSmart can pre-order and track down out-of-print books for you, too!
Save the Date: September 12, 10-5, the first annual San Jose Book Festival at Eastridge Center in San Jose.
Do you have a South County Literary event to share? In Morgan Hill, San Martin or Gilroy? (Book events, writing groups, author events, etc), please let us know, we’ll add it to our next newsletter! jordanwritelife @ gmail . com
